About the Forum

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO JOINED US AT THE FORUM

MONDAY,  JULY 20,  IDAHO FIRST BANK,  7PM

to discuss the August 4, 2009, McCall special election question:

“Shall the City of McCall retain its organization under the council-manager plan?”

The objective of the July 20 forum was to encourage the issues, answers, facts, and questions be fully addressed and shared.

The forum program is available by clicking  HERE.  Jerry Mason, an attorney experienced in local government from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, introduced the topic, and Judge Hank Boomer of McCall facilitated questions and answers from the audience and a panel of advocates for retaining the current form of  government.  Advocates of changing the form of government declined to attend the forum, so a statement from the 2 primary petitioners for this election was read in lieu of their presence. Additional news on the forum issues and related details may be viewed on the new online Star News website.

Questions were pre-submitted on this blog  and the audience also had the opportunity to ask questions. About 50-60 people attended.
